Ever since I can remember I’ve made art, and it has always been a central part of my life.
Medium comes second to the joy of creating…basically I will make art with anything. In university I focused on painting, drawing and printmaking, later wearable art and textiles.
Since I was a teenager I’ve carried cameras with me, spent many hours in darkrooms and still find great joy in using the camera as a creative instrument, especially in combination with self-created costumes and self-portraiture.
At times I dabble with digital art, but my love for traditional art is what brings me the most joy.
In recent years I have focused largely on ink and watercolour works.
My subject matter is inspired largely by various Buddhist concepts, particularly non-self and impermanence represented by imagery of death and meditative techniques such as stippling.
Here. In this moment.
